Yael Stone

Stone was brought up on the streets of Sydney, Australia, where she studied at Sydney's Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Stone was first introduced to acting when was a toddler. She acted in roles such as Me Myself and The Farm. She primarily focused on theatre. She was awarded the title of Best Newcomer in the Sydney Theatre Awards 2008 and Best Supporting actor for The Kid. She also appeared in supporting characters in All Saints, Spirited and others. She also starred on the screen in The Diary of a Madman. This role earned her a second nomination to the Sydney Theatre Awards as Best Supporting Actress. The Diary of a Madman was performed by The Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. In March 2011, she returned to Sydney to play the leading role as a lead actress in A Golem Story (a story about the character of a golem), Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and As You Like It.
